L&G Tools will not be held liable for claims received after the warranty period has expired.

Maintaining Your Security Products:
To ensure that your security products remain in good condition, we recommend treating them with the same care and attention as you would your car. Regular washing and polishing of your car prevent dirt and dust from accumulating and causing significant damage over time. Similarly, your security products will need to be cleaned to keep them functioning properly. While they may not require the same level of attention that you devote to your vehicle, giving them a similar level of care will go a long way in preserving their performance.
Here are a few suggestions on how to keep your products looking as good as they did the day you bought them.
Tips for Cleaning
- Dip a soft cloth into a diluted mixture of soap and water and wipe down the product.
- Dry off the product using a similar soft cloth or chamois.
Tips for Lubrication
After cleaning, always lubricate the moving parts of your product with a silicone spray, which can be found at most hardware stores. If the cylinder lock becomes difficult to use, try applying a dry lubricant such as “Just a Puff,” which can be found at most locksmiths. This same product can also be used for all your household locks.
Do’s and Don’ts
To ensure the longevity of your product, refrain from using detergents or abrasive cleaners (e.g. dish washing liquid, Handy Andy, thinners, etc.) as this can cause damage over time. To boost the lifespan of the product, follow the tips below.
Guidelines for Installing Locks and Handles Near the Beachfront
If you’re considering installing handles or padlocks within 500m of the beachfront, it’s best to avoid mild steel products. Instead, opt for materials such as aluminium, brass, or stainless steel, which are better suited to withstand the conditions in that area.
Please note that performing regular and precise maintenance procedures is crucial in extending the lifespan of your products.
